BOOM! is a unique volunteering project
for 16-25 year olds.

BOOM! volunteers connect with and benefit their communities by learning and putting into practice film making and creative media skills through their local youth club.

The project challenges young people to make films about where they live, what they think, their interests, passions and concerns - and then to use their films to help make a positive difference in their communities and society at large by raising awareness and campaigning for change.

As well as being shared and shown in local communities, all BOOM! films produced will be broadcast to a wider audience through MTV, both online at www.mtv.co.uk/boom and across MTV television channels.

Check out the video above to see a great example of a film made by a youth club participating in BOOM! The film, produced by the London-based 'Sense' club, promotes the story of a former police riot vehicle being transformed into a bling mobile media studio for young people in association with MTV's Pimp My Ride, EMI and the Metropolitan Police Service.
